The Child knows what a scientist means. But what is a philosopher, what is philosophy? Is every human being, who can think, a philosopher? His questions never have an end. Only one person can give the most accurate answer that The Child is looking for; his grandfather, who is a retired philosophy professor and lives in a small distant town. In this first book of the series, The Child will start his philosophy adventure at his school and will continue with his wise grandfather during the summer vacation. She was born in Balıkesir on a December morning, yet lived in Kocaeli until she started university in İzmir. During and after the education years, she has always been interested in acting and singing as an amateur, also very much into reading and writing. Learning has always been her passion as she has always been in love with math, science and nature.
When it was time to choose one of these fields as a profession, becoming a teacher was the best way to enjoy them all at once.
After her unfortunate departure from the master’s study at Philosophy department, she could not stay away from the world of “Child Philosophy” and continued her studies individually. She worked at schools in Istanbul, authorized by IBO, for eleven years, as a primary years’ homeroom teacher, curriculum development specialist, child philosophy instructor and academic leader. She also directed studies on children’s rights and discrimination. One day she decided to follow her dreams, said goodbye to the big city chaos and moved to a village in İzmir. She started a new life as a teacher in the middle of forests, rivers and mountains.
She lives in Selçuk with her buddy Fındık and keeps on learning and * having fun together with children, continues making up stories and telling them with great enthusiasm every single day.
