 Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley is best known for her novel Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus. She is recognised as the daughter of the celebrated radical writer Mary Wollstonecraft and the equally well-known novelist and political philosopher William Godwin. In addition to Frankenstein. Mary Shelley wrote 6 other novels, a novella, mythological dramas, stories, articles, various travel books and biographical studies. She also edited and promoted the works of her husband, the Romantic poet and philosopher Perey Bysshe Shelley.
